Kidnapped: A Dramansy Story Chapter 1

A/N: Ahhh!!!  Wow, this is so exciting!  I haven’t updated a story since February.  I started working on this story on November 2, 2011 and it has changed A LOT since I started it.  I wanted it to be a Dramione (Draco/Hermione) romance, but I soon evolved into what it is now.  A few warnings if I may…

Lets just erase the image of older looking Draco Malfoy from the ‘Nineteen Years Later’ in HP and the Deathly Hallows Pt. II.  Let’s pretend he hasn’t changed since he was seventeen.  Just kidding.  But let’s pretend that he doesn’t look as old as he is in the epilogue.  And take off the beard.  Wasn’t too keen on it.  Aw, heck, let’s pretend that every adult that was a teenager in the HP book looks younger than they really are, okay?

I’ve also decided to post two chapters instead of just one because I’ve already given away most of the first chapter, so that wouldn’t be fair.

Characters:  ?–OC, Draco Malfoy–OC, Hermione Weasley–OC

And on that happy note, I hope you enjoy the first chapter of ‘Kidnapped: A Dramansy Story’!

Chapter 1

Hermione was rushing through the Ministry of Magic.  Today was a very important day: it was her first S.P.E.W. meeting in a while.  She could hardly wait.

Hermione rushed into the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.  She stood in the doorway to see what people she was dealing with and smiled when she saw Amos Diggory and Newt Scamander’s grandson, Rolf.  Hermione knew Rolf quite well; he was Luna Lovegood’s husband.  She took a seat next to him.

“Good morning, Rolf,” said Hermione pleasantly.

“Hello, Hermione,” said Rolf.

“How are Luna and the children?”

“Quite well, thanks.  How are Ron and the kids, and, well… your whole family?” asked Rolf with a chuckle.

Hermione laughed.  “They’re well.  The lot of them.”

Rolf looked at the clipboard floating beside him.  He frowned.  “We’re still missing a few people.  Ginny Potter said she would come.  I have her on the list.  Also–”

Ginny rushed in breathlessly.  She took a seat next to Hermione.  “Hermione!  Oh!  I am so sorry I’m late.  I had to drop Lily off at school.  Harry couldn’t.  Some important Auror meeting, hi, Rolf.”

Rolf greeted Ginny and Hermione laughed.  “It’s alright, Ginny.  You’re not late.  Ron took Hugo to school, that’s why I could make the meeting.”

“I thought he worked in the Ministry on Fridays,” Ginny commented.

“No, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays he works at the Ministry.”  Ginny nodded.  “So this is the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures?  What division?”

“Being,” Rolf answered automatically.  “House-elves and living beings, you know.  Did you read Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them?”

“Yes, at Hogwarts.  And you gave it to Harry and I for a wedding gift,” Ginny said.  “Albus is rather fascinated with that book.  Anyway, I’ve been meaning to ask you, Rolf, since you’re a Magizoologist, perhaps you can tutor James and Albus in the summer.”

“And Rose,” Hermione added.

“It would be an honor,” said Rolf, bowing slightly.  “Alright, everyone, we are still missing one person, but I think we should start this meeting.  It’s their loss if they’re late.”

“Yep, totally their loss.  Though, I’m not quite sure what they’re losing,” said Ginny teasingly.  Hermione smacked Ginny’s arm.  There were footsteps heard in the hall.

“Ah, I think our, uh, guest is here,” said Rolf, adjusting his tie.

“I hope I didn’t miss anything,” said a strangely familiar voice.  Ginny looked up and her jaw dropped.  She pinched Hermione.  “Ow!  What?”

Hermione looked up and saw the person.  She had a look of utter shock on her face.  It was the last person she thought she would see at an S.P.E.W. meeting.

Everyone seated at the long broad table looked up.

Parkinson?” asked Hermione incredulously.
