Top Ten Tuesday — Spring TBR List

Hey, guys!  I’m throwing my third Top Ten Tuesday your way!  This week’s theme is our spring 2014 TBR pile.  I have a lot of books that need to be read this spring.  Instead of spring cleaning, how about spring reading?  Heheh…  😀

As usual, Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  On with the show!

The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead.  THIS BOOK!  IT MUST BE READ!  I got this for Christmas, I begged and begged and I still haven’t read it!  I’m suffering from a severe Adrian withdrawal.  Who’s with me?

Champion by Marie Lu.  I’m such a bad person for not reading this D:  Don’t be mad… I’ve already started it (and it’s amazing!)

The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman.  I bought this book more than a year ago, maybe even two—it didn’t work out.  I tried reading it, but I couldn’t get into it.  A long while later, I got the movie from the library, thinking (hoping, praying to the gods of Olympus) that the movie would help me better understand the book.  It didn’t.  In fact, I didn’t even finish the movie.  It was very… stressing for me.  I felt like I was forcing myself to read this, and the movie was so stressful, I just gave up on this altogether.  But I really want to try again.  I want to get back on the Philip Pullman wagon (not that I was, er, ever on the Philip Pullman wagon.  Maybe for two seconds…)

The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski.  Marie Rutkoski is probably one of my all-time favorite authors.  I’ve been reading her books for a long time, now—longer than Harry Potter, even (isn’t that crazy?)!  So you can imagine how excited I was when I saw that she was releasing a new book.  I was jumping off the walls and doing backflips.  So you can probably also imagine how bummed I was when I realized that I’m probably going to be the last person to ever read this book.  Yeah.  I’m sad.  But all I’m hearing are raving reviews, so I’m still excited!  And I’m so happy that Ms. Rutkoski is writing a brand new trilogy 😀  (I read the excerpt, by the way—might I just say it was pure brilliance?)

Wolves, Boys, and Other Things That Might Kill Me by Kristen Chandler.  This book has been on my TBR list for more than a year, now.  It’s been there since before I made this blog.  I think I saw it in the YA section way back when I was first discovering the genre and it’s been stuck on my list ever since.  I have no idea what it’s about… but I bet it’s about wolves, boys, and other things that might kill her.  XD

I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You by Ally Carter.  Another book that’s been on the TBR list since the dawn of time.  The cover’s kind of reminding me of The Cinderella Cleaners series, books I read waaaay back when.

The Princess Trap by Kirsten Boie.  I read the first book, The Princess Plot, about a year ago.  Actually, I’m probably very close when I say that, because I first started reviewing in February 2013.  And The Princess Plot was one of my first reviews where basically all I said was, “I really liked this book and it was super awesome!  I can’t wait for the next book!”  Yeah… Ahem.  Anyway.  I never got around to reading The Princess Trap because my library didn’t carry it.  But, who knows what the future holds?  I remember really enjoying this, though.  In my head, I’m drawing very vague parallels between The Princess Plot and The Selection by Kiera Cass.  Hmm…

The Infinite Moment of Us by Lauren Myracle, one of my favorite authors on the planet.  This is one of her newer releases, which I have not read (*sadness*), but I really want to read it!  I’ve read a lot of her books, and want to add this onto the list, as well!

Panic by Lauren Oliver.  This is way up there with The Winner’s Curse of books I’m probably going to be the last to read.  Oh, well.  It sounds really interest, from what I read from the synopsis, and heaps of people are reading it!  (This book was at the library I visited on Saturday—I sooo wanted to borrow it!)

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin.  I bought this in paperback, because for some reason, the bookstore I go to has the first book in every series in paperback, but ALL THE OTHER BOOKS IN HARDCOVER.  Anyway, I’m looking forward to reading this.  I’ve heard so many great things about this series.  And look at that cover.  I want to jump into this series.  ASAP.  (I keep getting confused between The Unbecoming and The Evolution—I always forget which comes first!)

The Fallen by Celia Thomson.  This is the first book in The Nine Lives of Chloe King.  Remember that ABC Family series?  I really enjoyed it (though I don’t remember finishing it…)!  I’m not too crazy about the cover, but oh, well.  I already started The Nine Lives of Chloe King: Books 1-3, but that was a year ago.

So, it looks like I’ve accidentally given y’all eleven books.  Oh, well!  My TBR list is never-ending (as many are, I’m sure).  And, of course, I don’t need to add The Fault In Our Stars to this list.  (I almost bought it at Barnes & Noble, but got distracted by the new PJO covers!)
