Bout of Books 10: Updates for Friday

bout of booksHey, everyone 🙂  It is officially Saturday.  Probably didn’t have to tell you it’s time for updates, haha.  I’ve found that I really enjoy logging my progress here and sharing it with you guys.  It reminds me of school.  We kept reading logs every night and turned it in to our teachers the next day.  Ah, good times 😀

I just finished eating some rice with butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and lemon juice (don’t look at me like that) at some ridiculous hour of the morning and finally deemed myself prepared to write this post XD  I actually got a really, really late start on my reading yesterday.  I think I started reading at 8:30 p.m., after I decided to rearrange my bookshelves.

After doing that, I envied every other human being with shelves because I only have a few series that I own all the books to.  Major jealousy going on.  But I’m still really proud of my shelves 😀

Anyway, the Bout of Books 10 is sadly drawing to an end.  However, I did manage to finish It Had to Be You at 10:30 last night!  I really enjoyed it, so expect a review later today 🙂

Despite my late reading start, I think I got in a decent page count.

I’ve also been weirdly fangirling about all the books coming out this year that I’m excited about (thank you, City of Heavenly Fire).  Those books include:

  • City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare, which comes out in TEN DAYS, GUYS.  TEN.  TEN.  DIEZ.  TEN.  HUMANS.  THIS IS BIG.
  • Opposition by Jennifer L. Armentrout, the last book in the Lux series, which comes out August 5th, I believe.  Heh.  Heheh.  Heheheheh.  Daemon.
  • Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins, which comes out August 14th… I think.  The date for this book has been changed a few times (Stephanie Perkins explained why on her blog).  I think this is accurate, though.
  • The Blood of Olympus by the incredible yet evil Rick Riordan, which comes out October 7th.
rr
Pretty much sums up his evilness right there.
  • In the Afterlight by Alexandra Bracken, the last book in her wonderful The Darkest Minds trilogy.  Guys, if you haven’t read these books, drop what you’re doing and GO GET THEM.  I love them.  They are so incredible.  Amazing.  This book comes out October 28th.

I realized that all of these books are the endings to fantastic series.  These authors are brilliant.

I’d better go.  I could ramble on about these books for hours 😀

Doing anything fun for the summer?  OOH, ARE ANY OF YOU GOING TO BEA???  I wish I was!
