BookBlogWriMo: #TBT — Favorite Childhood Books

Hi, fellow bloggers, and welcome to day six of BookBlogWriMo 😀 Today’s discussion is one I’ve posted about quite a few times, and it’s about favorite childhood books.  But, hopefully I can add in a few more fresh ones to the mix.

Here are just a few of my favorite childhood books.  Starting from the top are the books I liked when I was really small, and as my little book pyramid progresses, I have some of the books I enjoyed as I got older.

At the top I have If You Give A Mouse A Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff.  According to the inside of this book, it was given to me as a Christmas present in 2004.  I recently saw a parody of this book at Barnes & Noble called If You Give a Mouse an iPhone by Ann Droyd, which I thought was hilarious.

Next I have Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach.  I have no idea if I ever read this book through and through, but I remember that as a kid I really loved the middle of the book, which had cool pictures of seagulls in the middle with a strange paper that I thought was cool.

Next I have Miss Mary Mack by Mary Ann Hoberman, and I loved this book!  I might just reread it again tonight XD

On the next level of my little book pyramid, I have some of the Mary-Kate and Ashley books, which I used to get a store that sold used books.  I remember really loving these books and I reread them all the time.  I think my first one was the one where they went to summer camp… I can’t remember what it’s called, but it’s somewhere in my room.

As I got older, I took interest in Ann M. Martin’s books, especially her Baby-Sitters Club and Baby-Sitter’s Little Sister series.  I also loved Goosebumps, but I unfortunately don’t own a single book from that series, since I read them all from school.

Around this time I also took it upon myself to start reading a book called How To Say It by Rosalie Maggio, which was basically a book that taught you how to write different types of letters.  I really enjoyed this book for some reason.  I also liked flipping through these old etiquette books we had when I was a kid, just because xD
