An Introduction: Hello Everyone!

2014 About Me Update

1/3/14

Wow.  Every time I read my About Me updates, I inwardly laugh.  Why?  Because, er, I always feel like I sound ridiculous.  Well!  Here’s to another year of ridiculousness!

My name is littleonion!  When I first started this blog, I originally said, “I am using this blog to expose my fanfictions.”  Well, that’s not the case anymore.  Yes, I do write fanfiction, and yes, I still update (though, my updates are dreadfully off schedule…), but this has turned into more of a bookish blog.  Perhaps I should make a blog that focuses solely on books…

Anyway, I believe since my last update, my blog has undergone some changes.  I’m a book reviewer, now.  My first reviews… well, they were awful.  If you were around these here parts around April of 2013 (which is when I think I started book reviewing), you’ll know that my reviews were, ah… hardly substantial.  I think I’ve improved since then, on both my writing and reviewing skills.

I’ve just started watching that awesome show, “Downton Abbey.”  I started it yesterday, in fact.  Wowza.  That was a good show!  I only got to watch the last episode of the last season, but still!  I was so distraught by the end of the show!  I think the next season airs in a few days.

Other Likes:

  • Music: I really like alternative rock, modern rock, and rap.  I recently (a few months ago) found a really great radio station, and it’s now my favorite one!
  • iPod: I have an iPod touch, and it’s really helpful when replying to comments!  (I have noticed embarrassing typos I’ve made, though…)  I mainly use my iPod for music and Internet.  I have exactly two games on it: solitaire and Jetpack Joyride.  ‘Cause, c’mon.  That game’s just awesome (even though I rarely play it anymore.)  My iPod is actually breaking!  The on/off button on top no longer works, which is upsetting.  I’ve had it for two years, though, so what more could I expect.
  • TV: I don’t watch too much TV, mainly because a lot of the shows I like are all over.  They are still aired, though, but I prefer to watch them in order, so I just order them on DVD.  They are: “House,” “Monk,” “Ugly Betty,” “General Hospital,” “Coffee Prince,” “Dance Moms (a guilty pleasure, heheh),” and my new favorite, “Downton Abbey.”
  • Amazon Cloud App: I love this thing!  I don’t use Apple’s music app anymore because I can’t buy music from iTunes anymore.  Why?  Well.  Here’s the story on that.
  • Reading: Reading is one of the best things that has ever happened to me.  I love, love, LOVE to read.  My favorite genre is YA, but I’ll occasionally read regular old fiction or non-fiction (the latter definitely not by choice, though :D)
  • Writing: It seems like every day I declare, “I’ve started a new story!”  The thing is, it’s very easy to start a story and to have an idea.  Finishing it?  Not so easy.  I find it very hard to finish most of the stories I begin.  (I’ve started a new story!)  Fanfiction, for me, is easier, because I think it’s easier to have an idea but borrow the characters and world from another story.  I love to write both fanfiction and original fiction, though!  My newest fanfiction, Kidnapped: A Dramansy Story, is finished and is now being uploaded.
  • Pizza: I just felt like I needed to add that.

Well, that’s all!  My updated version of the About Me page!  I hope you enjoy, and have a happy new year!

2012/2013 About Me Updates

Hi!  My name is littleonion.  I am using this blog to expose my fanfictions.  For now, I am going to be focusing on Harry Potter fanfictions, but I’ll probably venture deeper into the fanfiction world once I get more acquainted with fanfiction.  I am, obviously, a big fan of the Harry Potter series, but I like the work of Lauren Myracle, R. L. Stine, Ann M. Martin, and many more Young Adult authors.

I also am a music fan.  Please let me know how you like my stories, and if you want me to write other types of fanfictions on other stories.

I update this blog once a week, usually on Friday, but if I do not have enough time or I am too tired (haha, yeah right) I’ll update on Saturday or Sunday.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog.  I hope you enjoy your experience here, and I hope to have your views and comments soon.

:::UPDATE:::

I wrote this About page when I first started the blog, and I really didn’t know about what to say in my About, so here is an update of everything said above:

Because my first HP fanfic has been completed, and my second one was forced to be put on hiatus, I am using this blog to talk about the books I read–or in other words, book reviews.  I am currently working on my third fanfiction and hope it will be blog-worthy some time this year.

I enjoy books written by J. K. Rowling, Lauren Myracle, Suzanne Collins, Julie Bertagna, Marie Rutkoski and SO many more.  I’ve definitely expanded my reading after I created this blog.

I love music.  I can’t go a day without my iPod.  I enjoy EMINEM, music made from 2007-2010, and my new favorite music is New Wave, which is music from the eighties.  I’ve posted about this music somewhere in my blog.

I update this blob (blog) more than once a week because I read more than one book a week and post reviews more than once a week… does this even make any sense?

      1. It’s about a place wherein all 16 year olds must take an aptitude test that will determine which faction would they belong in: Erudite, for the intelligent; Candor, for the honest; Dauntless, for the brave; Amity, for the peaceful; and Abnegation, for the selfless.

They must decide whether or not they will follow the result of the test. If you’re from an Abnegation family, and you got Erudite for your result and chose it, you will leave your family therefore the saying, “Faction before blood.” 🙂

  2. Great blog! I know what you mean, sometimes I update more than once a week because I write book reviews as opposed to posts on other matters. (:
